David A. Rustine is the
Founder, President, and driving force behind the Crown Companies family. In 1984,
after a successful and lucrative career with
Prudential Insurance in New York, David Rustine
relocated to Florida, where he acquired his Florida
Real Estate License
e (Lic#1001508) and a Contractors License (Lic# CGC061819)
. In
1985, he recognized a unique opportunity to purchase
Gregory Realty Corp, a small Boca Raton commercial
real estate brokerage.
To expand the services offered by his newly acquired
company, he launched.

Management, Inc , and in 1994,
Crown Contractors, Inc.

Crown Companies, owner David Rustine and his wife Rebecca made headlines when
in 2003 they purchased the
famous Boca Raton anthrax-tainted AMI building , former home to the National Enquirer, Sun and Globe tabloids. He paid only $40,000 for the contaminated building worth $3.8 million, hired remediation professionals to clean every square inch of the building. "Now we can say this is one of the safest and healthiest buildings in America, it's 100 percent recovered." The name was changed from the American Media Incorporated building to the Crown Commerce Center. It is now a fantastic office park in the nicest area of Boca Raton on a golf course.
